Homework
Please keep in backpack and bring to school daily. Work should be stapled and turned in Thursdays.
We'll correct as much as we can before powertime each day. It helps tremendously if you can check what you can at home. Each day your child can bring home their work to show you and correct mistakes before turning it in. Any child that misses 3-4 problems should conference with the teacher and parent to ensure they identified their mistake and learned from it.
Late
Red and yellow slips will be given to students unprepared. Although students may use free time to make up classwork or homework, incomplete work will likely need to be made up at home.
Reading
Record 20-30 minutes on Rts.utah.com
Do 4 fluency timings each week from one numbered passage.
Improve comprehension by orally answering questions from reading packet (do not write on packets) Answers given for parents
Read variety of leveled readers, poetry books and stories so students are ready to perform and grow as readers.
Math
Problems will be a weekly review, story problems, and skill of day.
After first unit, do even problems of skill and all of story problems.
